Day 1: Arrival in Colombo – Drive to Anuradhapura

• Meet & Greet: Warm welcome at Bandaranaike International Airport by your guide/driver.

• Transfer to Anuradhapura (Approx. 4.5 hrs)

• Check-in to a hotel surrounded by serene greenery.

• Evening at Leisure to rest after the long journey or enjoy a walk near Nuwara Wewa lake.

Day 2: Anuradhapura Sacred City Tour

• Visit ancient spiritual landmarks:

  • Sri Maha Bodhi Tree – over 2,200 years old.

  • Ruwanwelisaya Stupa – iconic white dome with deep spiritual significance.

  • Isurumuniya Temple – famed for the “Isurumuniya Lovers” rock carving.

  • Thuparamaya & Abhayagiri Monastery – relic shrines and ruins.

• Optional evening meditation session at a monastery.

Day 3: Transfer to Polonnaruwa – Ancient Ruins Exploration

• After breakfast, drive to Polonnaruwa (Approx. 2.5 hrs)

• Explore Polonnaruwa – Sri Lanka’s medieval capital:

  • Gal Vihara – rock-cut Buddha statues.

  • Parakrama Samudra – ancient reservoir.

  • Royal Palace Complex, Vatadage, and Rankoth Vehera.

• Optional: Cycle around the ruins for an immersive experience.

Overnight stay: Polonnaruwa or Sigiriya area

Day 4: Sigiriya Rock Fortress – Dambulla Golden Temple

• Early morning climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress – the “Lion Rock” with palace ruins and frescoes.

• Visit Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site:

  • Five cave shrines with over 150 Buddha statues and colorful murals.

• En route, optional visit to a herbal spice garden.

• Evening at leisure.

Day 5: Drive to Kandy – Aluvihara & Temple of the Tooth

• Stop at Aluvihara Rock Temple in Matale – origin site of the written Pali Canon.

• Continue to Kandy, the hill capital and spiritual heart.

• Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa).

• Evening Puja Ceremony at the temple (optional).

Day 6: Kandy City Tour – Bahirawakanda – Cultural Show

• Morning visit to Bahirawakanda Buddha Statue – panoramic view over Kandy.

• Walk by Kandy Lake and visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya (optional).

• Enjoy a cultural dance performance featuring Kandyan drumming and fire-walking.

Day 7: Scenic Train Ride to Nuwara Eliya – Tea Country

• Visit a tea plantation and factory – learn about the tea-making process.

• Explore Gregory Lake and enjoy a boat ride or lakeside picnic.

Day 8: Horton Plains National Park – World’s End Hike

• Early morning departure for Horton Plains (with packed breakfast).

• Hike to World’s End – dramatic cliff drop with sweeping views.

• Visit Baker’s Falls and walk through cloud forests and grasslands.

• Return to hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening in Nuwara Eliya town.

Day 9: Transfer to Colombo – Leisure & Shopping

• After breakfast, drive to Colombo (Approx. 5.5 hrs).

• En route, you can stop at Ambewela dairy farm or Ramboda waterfalls.

• In Colombo:

  • Explore Independence Square, Galle Face Green, and Gangaramaya Temple.

  • Optional shopping at Odel, Crescat, or Dutch Hospital complex.

  • Sunset by the beach or dinner at a rooftop restaurant.

Day 10: Departure

• After breakfast, transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure.
