Day 1: Arrival in Colombo – Transfer to Negombo – Lagoon Boat Ride

Day 3: Morning Safari – Transfer to Sigiriya

Day 4: Sigiriya Rock Fortress – Minneriya Jeep Safari

  • In the afternoon, go on a jeep safari at Minneriya National Park, famed for its elephant gatherings (especially between July and September).

Day 5: Transfer to Kandy via Dambulla – Spice Garden Visit

  • After breakfast, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, Sri Lanka’s largest cave temple complex with stunning Buddha statues and murals.

  • Continue the journey to Kandy, the cultural capital (approx. 2.5–3 hours).

  • On the way, stop at a spice garden in Matale to learn about Sri Lankan herbs and spices.

  • Arrive in Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic if time permits, and enjoy an evening cultural dance show.

Day 6: White Water Rafting in Kitulgala – Nature Trek

  • Early breakfast and drive to Kitulgala, the adventure capital (approx. 2.5–3 hours).

  • Enjoy an adrenaline-pumping white water rafting experience on the Kelani River, suitable for beginners and thrill-seekers alike.

  • After rafting, take a guided trek through the rainforests, explore waterfalls, or visit the historic filming location of The Bridge on the River Kwai.

Day 7: Drive to Yala National Park – Relaxation

  • After breakfast, drive south to Yala National Park (approx. 5–6 hours).

Day 8: Early Morning Safari in Yala – Transfer to Mirissa

  • Head into Yala National Park at dawn for an early morning safari, one of the best times to see leopards, elephants, crocodiles, and a variety of birds.

  • Return for breakfast, then travel to the southern coast – Mirissa (approx. 3 hours).

  • Check in to your beach resort and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

Day 9: Whale Watching – Beach Leisure
